Do you actually post to Pinterest?
Yes. Connect Pinterest, turn On, and we schedule and publish pins across the week. We start around 5 pins per week from your Etsy photos, then post more when your account is doing well.
Is automated pinning allowed by Pinterest?
Yes. We publish through the official Pinterest API, which is the supported way for apps to create pins on your behalf.
What photos do you use?
Your Etsy listing photos only - no stock. We place the product in a lifestyle scene for Pinterest; optional short overlay text; the listing URL is the follow-up.
Do I have to approve pins before they go live?
No. Pins are scheduled and published automatically. You can still review what is coming in This week or the weekly email, and swap any pin you do not like before it goes live.
Can I skip a pin I don’t like?
Yes. Every week you get an email with your upcoming pins. Don't like one? Swap it with one click from This week or the email.
Which Pinterest account and boards do you post to?
We post to the Pinterest account you connect. You choose which board we use (or we use your default board). You can change the board anytime on Connect.
What happens to my pins if I cancel?
Pins already on your Pinterest account stay there. We stop creating and scheduling new ones. Pause or cancel anytime.
What access do you get to my Etsy shop?
Read-only access to your shop and listings (Etsy scopes shops_r and listings_r). We use that to sync listing photos and details. We cannot edit your shop or listings.
Does it work if I only have a few listings?
Yes. We need at least one active listing with product photos. With fewer listings we rotate angles and layouts so pins stay fresh.
Can I track clicks/sales from the pins?
Every pin links to your listing with UTM parameters (utm_source=pinterest, utm_medium=pin). You can see that traffic in your analytics tools. Pinygent also shows saves and related pin stats in the app.
